In Redwood Library and Athenaeum copy the margins of text used for manuscript notes of historical and personal significance to Peter Easton (1622-1694). Notes document the arrival of the Easton family to Newport in 1639.

Inscription on p. 54: "Peter Easton his Booke bought at Boston for 3s 6d, 1669 November 19."

Peter Easton, son of Nicolas, came with his father to Rhode Island in 1638 and married Anne Coggeshall in 1643. He held offices of Commissioner, Deputy, Assistant, General Treasurer and Attorney General.
